Hi, I’m Emilie! A lifelong lover of the water, adventure, and all things endurance!
When I was born, my parents looked at me one evening and said, “She looks like a swimmer!” Turns out, they were right. Growing up, I was completely obsessed with water. As a 3-year-old, I would even ask my mom to pull off the highway just so I could touch a hotel fountain. I learned how to swim early, fell in love with the sport, and could never get enough time in the water.
In my early twenties, I bought a Tricross bike just to go on casual rides with my dad, who was a cyclist — but it didn’t take long before I realized I loved being on a bike just as much as I loved being in the pool.
A few years later, during a cross-country drive with a close friend, they asked me a simple question: “If you could do anything, what would you do?” Without hesitation, I answered, “I would love to be a triathlete one day and use that platform to inspire others.” I knew the spark for the sport was there — I just hadn’t given it space yet.
Once I moved to Birmingham, a few of my best friends and I decided to train for a marathon. It was those early morning runs through the neighborhoods that helped me fall in love with the rhythm, sound, and freedom of running.
This time last year, I decided to finally take the leap and step into the world of triathlon. After exploring different race distances, I committed to a 70.3 Ironman in Florida. The race was in December, and I had just two months to train — but I was determined to show up and give it everything I had.
Fast forward, I not only finished my first half Ironman… but I also qualified for the 2025 Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Marbella, Spain!
The past ten months have been full of learning, growing, training, and falling even more in love with this sport. I’m excited to keep sharing this journey!
Hello!
